I Believed Them
When they said I was an abomination, I believed them.
When they said I couldn’t be saved, I believed them.
When they said I was going to hell, I believed them.
When they claimed their words were God’s words, I began to be doubt them.
When they had compassion for their own, but not for me, I began to see through them.
When I saw how they enjoyed condemning me, I began to distrust them.
When I heard that Jesus sought me out, I hoped in Him.
When I heard that Jesus stood up for me, I trusted Him.
When I heard that Jesus loved me so much that He died for me, I came to Him.
And when I prayed to Jesus, He answered me.
And when I asked Him if He was OK with me, He said "Yes".
And when I asked Him if He loved me, He hugged me with His Spirit.
I no longer believe them.
I only believe in my one true beautiful Savior, Jesus.
