Whoever is used numerous times in the scriptures. It is an inclusive word which leaves no one excluded from God’s love or God’s wrath. The King James Bible uses whosoever; the New American Standard and New International versions use the word whoever. Whosoever is used 110 times in the New Testament in the King James version. In Webster’s dictionary whoever is a pronoun which means whatever person or anyone that.
There are two verses in the bible which will demonstrate that EVERYONE is welcome in God’s kingdom. John 3:16 is probably the most well known verse by Christians and non Christians alike. It states ‘for God so loved the word that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.’ Whoever means ANYONE. It means transgender, straight, black, white, male and female. Moving down to verse 18 Jesus states that whoever believes in him shall not be condemned. That means everyone. This throws a wrench into those who say that one cannot be transgender and Christian. God doesn’t exclude anyone.
Romans 10:13 was instrumental in my coming to the Lord. ‘For whoever will call upon on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ Whoever was the clincher which meant me personally. I personalized it and it led me to action. Many transgender people have come to the Lord. He never said I had to change my gender identity in order to come to Him.
Romans 10:11-13: As the scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced” Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (New Living Translation)
Yes, God wants to have fellowship with all who call upon him. He wants to give us eternal life. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich, poor, black, white, male, female, straight or gender variant. Jesus loves and wants to be your friend.
